"When I Say I Am A Christian"
Two frogs fell into a can of cream, (or so it has been told).
What A Mighty God
The Touch of the Master's Hand
The Will of God Who's Guarding The Door? Steadfast Heart
Child of my love, fear not the unknown morrow,
Dread not the new demand
life makes of thee
Passion fills my heart for you my precious love,
when you died for me upon the cross, a gift from God above.
But when I see the pure in heart
I see a little boy.
The boneless tongue so small and weak,
Can crush and kill declared the Greek.
People ask, "Where was your God that day?"
Why didn't he keep these evil men away?"
What a tangled web we wove,
When from our land the Lord we drove;
Our world around us began to fall,
Folk asked, 'Where God was through it all?'
Ten Little Christians, standing in a line,
One disliked the pastor, then there were nine.
The cats in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
He learns to Condemn.
If a Child lives with Praise,
He learns to Appreciate.
A variety of pensive poems by Paul Warholak with titles such as Chains, Poem of Hope, Oh, I Can See, Inspired
We cannot all be famous or be listed in "Who's Who",
But every person, great or small, has important work to do.
If you can't be the pine at the top of the hill
Be a shrub in the valley below.
Oh Lord Jesus who ascended to a heavenly place,
when will you come back for me,
that I may behold your glorious face?
'Twas the week before Christmas, and the family so busy,
Just watching them move would make one feel dizzy.
The Church and the world walked far apart
On the changing shores of time:
The world was singing a giddy song,
And the Church a hymn sublime.
I do not know how long I'll live, but while I live,
Lord, let me give.
Last Week I threw out Worrying, it was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things my way.
When I looked into his eyes,
his love overwhelmed me,
waves of emotion flowed,
because I was not what I ought to be.
I've never made a fortune and it's probably too late now;
But I don't worry about that much, I'm happy anyhow.
And as I go along life's way
I'm reaping better than I sow;
I'm drinking from my saucer
'Cause my cup has overflowed.
Once there were two women
Who never knew each other.
One you do not remember,
The other you call mother.
Nine thousand for my brand new car
Five thousand for a piece of sod
Fifty thousand for my brand new house
A dollar I gave to God!
There'll be a brighter day tomorrow
Just
trust in God he'll share your sorrow.
Did Jesus use a modem,
At the Sermon on The Mount?
Did He ever try to broadcast fax,
To send his message out?
Not ours to know the reason why unanswered is our prayer,
But ours to wait for God's own time to lift the cross we bear.
My Father's way may twist and turn,
My heart may throb and ache
The father, a well digger, strong was he,
And as loving and kind as a father could be.
Is anybody happier,
Because you passed his way;
Does anyone remember,
That you spoke to him today?
Adam bit
Noah arked
Abraham split
I'd rather see a sermon, than hear one any day;
I'd rather one would walk with me, than merely point the way.
Lest We Forget these men and women, Soldiers all;
They served us proud Their duty call.
Excuses, excuses, you hear them everyday.
Now, the devil he'll supply them, if from church you stay away.
I ran into a stranger as he passed by, 'Oh, excuse me Please' was my reply.
He said, 'Please excuse me too; Wasn't even watching for you.'
As I thought about the loss
of my loved ones who had died,
I was overwhelmed with grief
and at once I sobbed and cried.
There is nothing the matter with me. I'm as healthy as I can be.
I have arthritis in both my knees; And when I talk, I talk with a wheeze.
Lord, when I am weary with toiling,
And burdensome seem thy commands
Upon the shore, I walked with Him at even, And I looked back upon the path we'd trod;
And in the sand I traced our way at even, And I was glad I'd walked through life with God
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
I had a birthday party, most everybody came.
They danced and ate and had a ball
But no one spoke My name.
Come walk with me and follow down a path where flowers grow, where tears became the nourishment, for Love's growth within my soul.
Before the child is born, Anxious prayers ascend to heaven,
The young mother depends on God, To nurture the life she's been given.
A is for the actions so loving and good.
B is for the baby training on to womanhood..
If I could just be young again, And if I had the choice
To be a multimillionaire, Or have a famous voice;
If I could have rare beauty, Or the best vocabulary,
I'd turn my back on all these things, And be a Missionary.
My apple trees will never get across and eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, 'Good fences make good neighbors.'

The park bench was deserted
as I sat down to read
Beneath the long, straggly branches
of an old willow tree.
A variety poems written by Debbee Combs with titles such as: Slow me down, Lord!, Life?, God's Little Child, Love Has a Name
I was walking through the garden guided by the moon's soft light,
when I stumbled across this man who was praying through the night.
Though the cover is worn
And the pages are torn
And places bear traces of tears.
Soft white billows of clouds
sailed across the ocean blue sky,
when I heard the trumpet sound,
the Glory of the Lord met my eyes.
Down in hell was a demon Grinch, Who was in sort of an idea pinch.
He wanted to steal the strength and zeal of the righteous people of Christianville.
The TV is my shepherd; my spiritual growth shall want.
My friend, I need you now; Please take me by the hand.
Stand by me in my hour of need, Take time to understand.
I think that I shall never see A Church that's all it ought to be;
A Church that has no empty pews, Whose Pastor never has the blues.
When I say ... "I am a Christian", I am not shouting "I am saved";
I am whispering "I get lost, That is why I choose this way"
I watched them tearing a building down, a gang of men in a busy town.
With a heave Ho and a lusty yell, they swung a beam and a side-wall fell.
The sides of the can were shiny and steep, the cream was deep and cold.
I wonder if any of you know
When men's socks vanish, where do they go?
Perhaps it's true as folks suggest
Martians take some and leave the rest
Hard working soldier picking up the cross, humbly serving others,
those who
the world considers lost.
Oh Lord, life has delivered a heavy blow against this vessel of clay,
shattering it into a thousand pieces within just one earth shaking day.
Our Father's wondrous works we see, In the earth and sea and sky;
He ruiles o'er all in majesty, From the royal throne on high.
Well it was battered and scarred, and the auctioneer felt It was hardly worth his while,
to waste much time on the old violin. But he held it up with a smile.
The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Temptation knocked.
Faith answered.
I've dreamed many dreams that never came true,
I've seen them vanish at dawn.
But I've realized enough of my dreams, thank God,
To make me want to dream on.
